Originally from Johannesburg,  Paul is currently the Deputy Spokesperson for Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

He returned to Israel after over three years in the USA (Consul to Florida & Puerto Rico) last summer.

Grant is a practicing U.S. and South African attorney and is based in Boca Raton, Florida.
His office has clients throughout the USA and the world and across the full spectrum of business and family immigration needs.

He also has an MBA degree and is a member of the 2nd, 9th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as the District Courts of Colorado and Washington. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Washington State Bar Association.

He is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and speaks daily on radio shows dealing with immigration and related topics and at conferences throughout the U.S.

Internationally renowned stand-up comedian, the hilarious Barry Hilton, has been imported straight from South Africa to entertain us. Enjoy a side-splitting show as Barry violates the laws of normality with his audacious humor. His quick wit, animated physical antics and hilarious facial expressions are guaranteed to leave his audience gasping for air.

Hilton was born in Zimbabwe in 1956 and became a pro comic in 1983 and now claims to be a household name in South Africa, where he’s nicknamed The Cousin.

He prides himself on his clean brand of humor and optimistic, patriotic, outlook on South Africa. He makes regular visits to the UK, and was the first South African stand-up to perform at the London Comedy Store,

As well as stand-up, he is also renowned in South Africa for starring in commercials and television shows. He has released five live standup DVDs and starred in two movies: Finding Lenny and Outrageous. Finding Lenny won best narrative feature at the Pan African Film Festival in Cannes and Hilton received a lead role nomination in the Best Actor category at the Feel Good Film Festival in Hollywood. Another movie is on the cards for 2012, as are more television adverts. 50,000. 

2012 marks Barry’s 30^th year as a professional stand-up comedian.   He is a pioneer of comedy in South Africa and both a role model and inspiration to the country’s other comedians.   During 2011, his Serial Comic World Tour took him down under to New Zealand and Australia where his shows were so well received that he was invited to perform at the Sydney Comedy Store.  He also performed to sold-out audiences in the UK, Middle East and much of Africa including Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia and Democratic Republic of Congo.  “It’s amazing to see the mix of audiences across the world and such a pleasure to make people laugh! I have the best job in the world, although I really should invest in an airline, or chat to Richard Branson!” says Barry.

The choir enhances the spirituality of Jewish simchas & contributes to the spirituality and meaningfulness of Shabbat services.

It is with this rich tradition of music, that the San Diego Jewish Men’s Choir was formed more than ten years ago. Dr. Basil Abramowitz garnered the services of Rhoda Gaylis, their director emeritus and they are now are a solid group of more than 25 volunteers from all walks of life and varying ages singing a variety of Jewish music. . The choir is under the artistic direction of Ruth Weber, a talented teacher, composer and musician.

King David Schools Reunion

Elliot Wolf was the headmaster of King David High School Linksfield for 34 years. In 2011, he attended King David reunions held all over the East Coast and Toronto, and Davidians flocked to see him.

His memory of your school days at KDS will astound you. He remembers things that you have long forgotten. Come hear him reminisce about staff and students at King David.

Elliot Wolf, former headmaster of King David High School Linksfield, and Raelene Tradonsky (née Shapiro), businesswoman, former Davidian and proud mother of three Davidians, are the King David Schools’ Foundation’s directors who are responsible for their Dor le Dor Campaign.

As a community school, King David financially assists over 500 Jewish learners per annum. The Dor le Dor campaign aims to build an Endowment Fund that will ensure the sustainability of the King David Schools, the largest Jewish Day School network in the southern hemisphere. Support of the KDSF’s new direction by the community both in South Africa and abroad will ensure the existence of excellent Jewish day schools and a learning facility for generations to come, which will continue to produce graduates who will have an impact on their communities worldwide.

The new way forward is supported and endorsed by the King David Schools’ Foundation‘s new chairman, Adrian Gore, and his fellow trustees, Brett Levy, David Frankel, Jonathan Hackner, Michael Mendelowitz, Stephen Koseff, and Steven Joffe, all prominent SA businessmen believing in the importance of the King David Schools to sustain the Johannesburg Jewish community. We ask King David alumni all over the world, to embrace this opportunity to help sustain the institution that nurtured them, so that future generations of Jewish children will be able to have access to the wonderful education and heritage from which they benefited.

The King David Schools’ Foundation (KDSF) is a registered non-profit organisation, No:005-644 NPO and is a donor advised fund of the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF) of San Diego, a  Sec 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, recognized by the IRS as a public charity . They have been in existence since 1994 and operate under the auspices of the South African Board of Jewish Education. They represent the alumni network of former Davidians all over the world and they fundraise to secure the future of the King David Schools.

Pamela Nathan has been president of SAJAC numerous times over the past 12 years. She has been responsible for introducing innovative ways to maintain SAJAC’s existence for this many years. One of her very successful plans is create an ‘ant’ like community of volunteers, where each person has only ONE responsibility.
